You are members of the Ranpo Detective Agency, hired at the behest of the Mononobe Family butler in order to investigate the sudden demise of his master and the family patriarch, Mononobe Kazuo. This investigation has brought you to a far-off and lonely village, where superstitious villagers fear that on the nights of the full moon the dead rise from their graves.
